One of the most important days in the Playdate calendar is here… Single Parent Day!
Single Parent Day first arrived in the UK in 2018. It is in its 5th year of running, after being set up originally in the US in 1984. Celebrated on the 21st March, it is a day for single parents to be recognised for their hard work and amazing achievements.
There are nearly 2 million single parent families in the UK and this day is incredibly important to celebrate them and their continued strength and resilience.
The last couple of years have been especially tough for many with the ups and downs of the pandemic. Yet, single parents have continued to do the best they can, with added challenges of home-schooling, working from home and furlough.
